the policemen are so busy thinking about sato all the time, they are more energetic than doing cases

thing is, all those cops don't know that Sato and Takagi are already involved romantically, dating seriously, and doing this almost entirely in secret. the Detective Boys Club, the Professor, Ran, and Kogoro are the only ones who know about those two.

in one of the previous MPDLS episodes Ran suspected the two were involved and found out for certain due to one incident. she and her father and Conan were riding in the back of Megure's car which Takagi was driving with Sato in the front passenger seat. he and Sato were returning Conan et. al. to the Mouri home after a case. during the drive, the two love-birds were having a serious 'heart to heart' conversation about their relationship. after pulling over suddenly and during the climax of the discussion, the two lean together to have a tender kiss. Kogoro coughs QUITE loudly from the backseat to interrupt the two and says something similar to, 'you two don't need to be doing THAT with passengers in the car!'

Don't know why I feel like pointing this out, but the credits say this victim has same voice actor as the previous one.

since Sato and Takagi are already dating... these kinds of things to tend to happen to couples. not every MPDLS in Conan is an epic adventure or set in a sweeping romantic location.
